Shines write constantly, record as they go, and bring new songs straight into their live sets. Echo Bass Records aren't slowing that down.

The band have built a reputation for restless, hook-driven indie rock that sits somewhere between the directness of The Cribs and the melodic instincts of early Oasis. Since signing to Echo Bass, they've leaned further into that energy, with a release schedule built to match their output.

In 2026, every single comes with a B-side. Not filler, not afterthoughts, but tracks recorded in the same sessions and chosen by feel. B-sides land first as free downloads to mailing list subscribers, before hitting streaming platforms weeks later. It's a model rooted in a lineage of bands who understood that some of the best songs live just outside the spotlight.

Their current single "Late for Days" is out now across all platforms. Next up is "The Falling of the Horse," available first to mailing list subscribers ahead of its wider release.

Ross Butcher, Founder, Echo Bass Records: "Shines are one of those bands where keeping up with them is the challenge. They're always writing, always recording, and the quality doesn't dip. The B-side model exists because holding tracks back made no sense. These songs deserve to be heard."

Present, prolific, and consistently releasing, Shines are building something track by track.
