Charlie Tango

London-based electronic producer, DJ, remixer and songwriter who has co-written over 50 tracks since 2003, across multiple genres and styles including electro-rock, psychedelic-dance, and synth-pop.

Influences come from the psychedelic sounds of the 60s, the funk and soul of the 70s, and the early hip-hop beats of the 80s. His dance-remixes are driven by disco-led beats with arpeggios, hooky riffs, and vocal lines stretched and filtered with heavy melodic effects.

He is best known for his recent work with the mashed-up psychedelic world of Charlie And The Oscillator, but has also released tracks under the name Manic Mosquito, and worked with former Kasabian man and electronic wizard Black Onassis, and indie rockers The Harlots. Some of his very earliest work was with electro-indie band White Star Magic hailing from Leicester circa 2005.

Left alone in the studio he is a force to be reckoned with, and now newly teamed up with Echo Bass Records he is currently pulling together the debut solo album from a collection of intriguing studio demos and leftover mixes.
