Ashley Stacey – “We’ve Got It All (This Christmas)”

Out November 28th on Echo Bass Records

A modern Christmas song with a familiar British warmth

Singer-songwriter Ashley Stacey returns with “We’ve Got It All (This Christmas)”, a heartfelt festive single that captures the quiet magic of the season. Rather than reaching for glitter and grandeur, Ashley writes from a place of realism and warmth, reflecting on what truly matters when everything else falls away.

The song features Matt Morgan, known for his work on Radio X, BBC 6 Music, and BBC Radio 2, who contributes backing vocals alongside a group of friends and collaborators.

The sound of togetherness

Recorded at Tileyard London and produced by Mark Anderson, the track balances nostalgia with sincerity. Chiming electric guitars, soft piano and organ, and rich harmonies give the song a communal energy that feels both lived-in and timeless.

It’s the kind of track that could fill a room late on Christmas Eve, when the laughter fades and that gentle sense of gratitude settles in.

The message behind the music

Lyrically, “We’ve Got It All (This Christmas)” reflects on the small, human truths that make the season special. It asks simple questions: will there be presents, will there be smiles, and will there still be warmth when the wine runs out?

The refrain “We’ve got it all this Christmas” isn’t a boast, but a moment of realisation. The gifts might be modest, the year might have been hard, but the togetherness is everything.

Ashley explains:

“I didn’t want to write another sugar-coated Christmas song. It’s about those quieter moments, when you realise that even without the sparkle or the excess, you’re already rich in what really matters.”
